Oh yeah, of course, I see what you are saying now.

Yeah, you are exactly right.
It doesn't matter if their own claims contradict each other. It ONLY matters that they always find SOMETHING to criticise. That's why I can never take such people's opinions' seriously.

trying to associate him with Marxist agents or hate-filled preachers.
What do you mean "try". It is already an established FACT regarding his dubious association - whether it be with wright, pfelger, ayers, farakhan etc, etc.

The associations have been there for 20 years - no "try" necessary.

The association is there, but the link is tenuous. Of course, you're going to disagree and I'm not going to stop you from doing so.

The point is that demonization is negative politics, and it ain't gonna work as well this time when people associate the incumbent party with bad times.

I agree on both counts.

In his book Dreams From My Father Obama wrote that when he went off to college he sought out the Marxist professors on campus. Would it be demonizing him to ask him why he did that and whether he subscribes to the Marxist perspective of those professors?

I would suggest you put that question to Mike Huckabee since it is his comments that started this thread.

Huckabee wisely is cautioning the doofus-types in the GOP that racism will not play well outside the BibleBelt.

Huckabee is certainly right on this issue because all we are hearing now is racist stuff like if Obama becomes President will it still be the White House? and the Obama monkey dolls and the George the Monkey t shirts. The right is driving every black voter into the arms of Obama and most whites who are offended by attacking his race. McCain is tip toeing around this demonizing like if they were land mines knowing full well that these types of attacks hurts him & his campaign.

What would you like these apologist to say. A lot of Obamas plans are wrong fo the country. He is such a flawed candidate that we don't need to trash him. Just point out what his policies will do to the country. Btw this has nothing to do with McCain as he has not demonized Obama so what is your point.
