BAGHDAD — Four Western oil companies are in the final stages of negotiations this month on contracts that will return them to Iraq, 36 years after losing their oil concession to nationalization as Saddam Hussein rose to power.
I just don't see that ever happening.
Nobody debates that oil is a finite resource, it will run out. With world supply down and demand growing in particularly in the rest of the world, prices will never go down. The only choice we have is when do we do something about it? Now or ten years when the prices will be double what we are paying now. It's a matter of national security, we should be developing American know how to further develop alternative energy.
Much of the middle East all ready thinks we went into Iraq for the oil. This feeds radicals which feeds the terrorist.
I do not want to believe any president would sacrifice American soldiers for oil money but this is telling me different.
