Then again, I suppose life is more "interesting" when your leader will shift their opinion on a constant basis. One could look at the bright side and say: "he keeps me on my toes"
Wasn't the knock on Bush that he was too stubborn to change and that no matter how badly things were going in Iraq he was wedded to a failed military strategy? Now the knock on McCain is that he's not stubborn enough and changes too readily? Damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
McCain has worked diligently to shore up his conservative bona fides...I mean, who better than a politician to determine what constitutes obscene profits.
I think McCain would "look" at a windfall profits tax about as long as Obama will "look" at nuclear power.
