Instead, disasters end up being another chance for them to get some face time, and solicit our money, and still come out looking civic-minded and concerned.

As for Hollywood supporting Obama: Most of the people in that industry can't seem to manage their own lives very well; I don't think they deserve any shot at trying to manage the country. They can endorse the Boobahs for president, for all I care--their opinions mean a warm pitcher of spit to me.
Talk about ingrates! If celebrities did nothing you Republicans would hate them & now by doing something you still hate them. How many of you good Republicans have done anything for your nation other than cheat on your income taxes?

You have no idea how much money is given to charities by actors so shut your mouths before you post such garbage.

Again, it is clearly anger built up inside knowing that most intelligent people don't vote Republican. The biggest worry to the GOP is how many wealthy people are becoming Democratic because they want/expect to be taxed according to a humane system. As usual Republicans have it ass backwards

There was a well-known study that came out a year or two ago that belies what you have just posted. In fact, conservative and/or Republicans donated MORE of their time and their money, both absolutely and as a percentage, than did liberals and/or Democrats.

I could care less about who a so called celebrity endorses. I refuse to go to movies, I don't buy pop music, and I don't watch television. I don't support hollywood, so I don't care who hollywood supports. income taxes themselves are the cheats. the most intelligent people vote libertarian. egomaniacs vote democrat, and religious freaks vote republican.

Yah...a real good reason to vote for someone based on what the nuts say in Hollyweird. As they say at the movies: two thumbs down.

Bar none. It's Bob Barr for president 08

This is one of those posts that go in to the Posters hall of fame.
You have no clue what anyone donates either. You are just an angry liberal hippie. Now do us a favor and go hit that peace pipe. Maybe it will calm you down.

I'm not angry I tell you!!! I’m not . . I’m not! I think you are right. Need a bud [not Budweiser] break

But I do know what celebrities give by reading about it in the LA Times, plus local TV coverage of the many events put on by actors to help people everywhere. Some travel to Africa to donate help; many are involved heavily in charities. Paris Hilton btw comes from a Catholic family that gives much money to the church & numerous charities in Los Angeles
