Another point: If Clark means to knock McCain as a way of showing support for Obama, he'd do well to remind himself of the old saying about man who live in glass house. Clark wants to put down McCain by saying McCain has no foreign policy experience? Is he sure he even wants to go there? Um, after all, what vast foreign policy experience has Obama had in his one term as a U.S. senator?
It may be the needed common sense to understand the consequences of bombing Iran on the economic well being of the American people.

He's never been responsible for policy formulation. He's never had leadership in a crisis, or in anything larger than his own element on an aircraft carrier or [in managing] his own congressional staff. It's not clear that this is going to be the strong suit that he thinks it is."

Does Senator McCain have foreign policy experience that nullifies General Clark's claim?
Does Clark have credibility that makes his claim worth more than a bucket of warm spit, or evidence that he is not merely angling for the VP position by acting as Obama's hit-man on security matters?

Clark is a failed presidential candidate who was eased out at NATO because of his incompetence. He has never held elective office or any other leadership post that was not rank-designated.

Clark was a big Hillary supporter a few months ago, remember? All he's done is switch his sycophancy to the new meal-ticket. He's an opportunist looking for a cushy sinecure, with no way to go about it but to trash Senator McCain.

He spent 34 years in the Army and the Department of Defense. That appears to cover policy formation, leadership in a crisis, and responsibility as well as culpability.

Your turn.

Simply a marvelous post, thank you for taking the time to do that. I can't give you any more rep....silly c-d software....

John will make an awful president, bouncing from pillar to post when a poll tells him which way the "majority" is thinking, worse than Bill Clinton. I expect him to make goofy statements that he's constantly apologizing for. He doesn't seem to have a grip on anything, other than his wife, Miss Hottie. His lobbyist pals will tell him everything he "needs to knows" like Rove spoon feeds chimpy.

It's a darn shame he isn't the JM of 2000, that guy I liked, but the current JM is a woeful shadow of 8 years ago. It's a darn shame the GOP can't do better. Credit to the DEMs for putting on a primary with any number of fine prospects.

Our problems as a nation require new blood and a rejection of the last 8 years of bumbling, thievery and the politicalization of education, science, health, justice and other things that should be left alone and not warped beyond recognition to please idiots like Pat Robertson, Dobson or the late Jerry Falwell. McCain is NOT the guy we need. What we need is a new broom to sweep out the trash, and Obama is the just the guy.

Gen Clark is right that McCain ain't the one. Obama is ten times smarter and more than man enough to do the job.

Personally, I know lots and lots and lots of passed over officers who are not, I repeat not, qualified to be president of the US based on their military service.
So are you saying he was unsuccessful because he was shot down and became a POW?

let's See, And Obama Has Mastered The Art Of Voting "present" During Voting Issues.

Nice Contrast...
