He is young, colored, active, VERY conservative and charismatic. Basically like I said several times before he is speaker at the RNC this year, same path Obama got to his political position today, he will likely be a VP choice in 2012, not this year.

I think he would make him out to be more of an "object" by saying, "well hes colored lets just put him on the ticket".
200 people resigned yesterday from private and government entities when Jindal signed a law stating that they would have to reveal their personal financial dealings as the leaders of these groups. Seems he wants a lot more transparency in a state known for its underhanded politics. I like what I see of him so far.
Kind of my take too. He seems like a pretty smart guy. Smart enough to know better than to have an "R" next to his name.
Jindal is probably the most conservative guy in the GOP right now, we're talking about a guy who voted 100% pro-life, a guy who voted to make the patriot act PERMANENT, a guy who voted to teach intelligent design in school, what would make you think that he would not have a R next to his name.
Jmarquise and Sunshine: Mason-Dixon represents the geographical divide between North and South. It does not represent the political-cultural divide between North and South today. Historically D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Maryland were not held by the confederacy either. Secondly places along the Southeast coast have long been changed drastically by our mobility, places such as Charlotte, Charleston, down to Florida you can find a good deal of Northern transplant, and "half-backs", in order to define politics as cultural, it certainly does not include D.C. post Civil War to present. while geographically it will always be Southern as "South of the Mason-Dixon".

Indians are Caucasians, so the "colored" reference, aside from being annoying and outdated, is incorrect. Perhaps if people stopped worrying about pigment we could move along in this country. Geesh
