Very good chance that Obama takes Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Florida this time around as a result of the growing Hispanic electorate. Those 4 states all extremely close last time, and this time around the Hispanic vote is much more heavily tilted Democrat. Even Florida now has more registered Hispanic Democrats over Republicans despite the Cuban factor.

McCain: Ohio, Pa, Mich, Nevada, Florida,

Obama: Iowa, NH, Colorado

Toss Up: Ore, Missouri, Wisc, N Mex

You left out one of the very key states, California is extremely key. Toss up for me.

Missouri and N. Mex could both be in the toss up stage depending on who Obama picks for VP.

I dont think McCain will get Pennsylvania or Ohio, but all the other states are correct.

I think Colorado is closer since McCain is a westerner, and would move it into the toss up category.

California will go Democratic, no ifs, ands or buts about that. McCain has about an equal chance winning California as Obama does winning Montana.

New Mexico will go Obama. Missouri will go McCain.

I will save my 1,000th post till later.

To suggest California is a toss up is ludicrous. California has not gone Republican since 1988. A recent Rasmussen (http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/california/election_2008_california_presidential_election - broken link) poll has Obama up by 28%, the RCP average has Obama leading by 16.2%. McCain has about as much chance of winning California as Obama does of winning Ala. or Ok.

I dont agree that he will win CA either (or PA) but if you show me one more of those made up polls, I am going to vomit.

McCain will win CA when Obama wins MT. Neither will happen.

Wisconsin and Oregon are swing states? Pretty sure they'll both go blue this fall. Oregon isn't as liberal as most think and Wisconsin isn't as conservative as most think.

Actually though I think Mont. will probably go red, the last Rasmussen Poll (http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/montana/election_2008_montana_presidential_election2 - broken link) has Obama leading there 48%-43%.

Oregon hasn't gone red since the eighties. Maybe it's being considered a swing state because Gore won there by only 1% (a big Nader vote) and Kerry only by 4%.
