Default Bilingual candidates
Does anyone know each of the candidates' proficiency in the Spanish language? The only presidents in US history to speak Spanish are Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush.

Bush can't really speak it well. He fakes it. His brother speaks it better, not that I would in any way endorse him for another Bush ride.

W. Bush does not speak Spanish fluently from what I know, Jeb does, W. Bush may also know basic Chinese as he studied abroad in China and he may know some basic English. We know our founding fathers may all have know French "lingua franca" such as Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, etc. as well as Latin for grammar purposes.To answer your question Jimmy Carter may be the only president to speak fluent Spanish.
