So..the great democrat party is pinning all it's hopes, dreams and survival on The One.

Can we all admit just how effed up both parties are?

Hard to tell. I wonder if the liberal multi-millionaires will form a 3rd party if many Democrats jump ship and vote McCain (which looks like it will happen).

Just Say No Deal

OPERATION NOBAMA - Operation NoBama news
Excellent point!

Which Obama?

The Obama of the primaries was easily the flaming liberal, leftist, socialist, even somewhat Communist in idealogy. He was angry and unapologetic, lashing out at anything moderate or centurist presented by the other debaters.

The Obama of the general election, so far, is busy remanufactruing himself casting off his mantra of liberal (says his campaign "isn't about labels"), pushing away from the left and restating his positions as dead center, middle of the road.

Mr. Presto Chango will do and say anything to be elected. He is the master deciever

Robert Redford was great in The Natural. I read that he said what he did about B.H. Obama in Ireland. Redford looks a bit Irish. If Obama were in Ireland he would find a way to pander to the Irish.

The republicans are so pathetic.

Why do you say that?

If I remember the OP of this thread noted pathetic issues of the Democrat party. If you wish to have credability, stay on point. You can be a Democrat and still answer this OP without needing to redirect blame.

Wouldn't that be wonderful for the country?

My perfect scenario that when I first envisioned it in the primaries, could not imagine it might actually happen. I'm still thinking the dem convention is going to be one riotous affair. Hopefully the fracture created in the primaries will continue until Obama's or Clinton's loss seals the deal.

Why, so we can have a glorious one party, like communist China, perhaps?

Putting aside the intent of the OP, this is likely the most important election for Democrats in decades. After crushing losses in the 2006 midterms and with much of the country and world feeling pretty resentful of the GOP, if the Democrats can still NOT pull off a victory? With a disastrous war and a failed administration and a nation that's starting to gravitate toward more liberal tendencies?

Yeah, that definitely would put Democrats in a very bad position.
