As long as he doesn't wear his religion on his sleeve he has my vote. As an atheist I am appalled that people would even care.

We do know for a fact Obama's family is Muslim, Obama's step-dad is a Muslim, Obama attended Muslim schools in Indonesia, and did study the Koran and prayed in Muslim circles. Whether Obama came to Chicago as a follower of Islam or not, is irrelevant.

IMPORTANT: I am NOT accusing Obama of being a Muslim.

This is a hypothetical scenario for polling purposes only.

But if Obama did indeed happened to be a Muslim, would you vote for him???
Witchcraft people frighten me. Would you vote for McCain if he got de-witched by Muthee??

I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend.
Thomas Jefferson

I never will, by any word or act, bow to the shrine of intolerance or admit a right of inquiry into the religious opinions of others.
Thomas Jefferson

Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear.
Thomas Jefferson

Lesson to take away from Mr. Jefferson...

Ignorance is a key component to societal regression?

Some more knowledge from a great leader that we as a society would be wise to heed:

"Paper is poverty... it is only the ghost of money, and not the money itself"

Thomas Jefferson

"If the American people ever allow the banks to control the issuance of their currency... the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property, until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered"

Thomas Jefferson

"I sincerely believe the banking institutions having the issuing power of money are more dangerous to liberty than standing armies"

Thomas Jefferson

I voted yes, but I wouldn't vote for him if he held extremist views...just like I wouldn't vote for a candidate that held any extremist religious views. Muslims are not our enemies...radical Islamists/terrorists are.
