I would like to see a 'funny' cover picture of McCain and see how his supports feel. Will they find it funny or tasteless?

Yeah, a funny cover of McCain planing his nap schedule and checking his stocks of Geritol and Viagra!

Not sure I agree with ProudCap ... they won't sell that many more magazines because everyone has already seen the cover and it's not a tabloid type magazine.

The point is, though, that it was meant to be a slam at the Republicans for what The New Yorker perceives as an over the top obsession with Obama's background and possible Muslim ties.

It amazes me that they didn't realize that it would have just the opposite effect and understandably fire up the Democrats along with Obama. I'm not an Obama supporter in any respect, but in this I don't blame him for reacting. It's not funny, not amusing.

What is interesting, though, is that the Dems never get fired up or upset when equally ugly cartoons are displayed about George Bush. They're not fired up when disgusting images are made about any Republican. The double standard is actually painful to observe.

So from my perspective, they got what they deserved. When you play dirty you deserve to be muddied up.

Granted, that is a very easy thing to do for most of the planet.

Why go after McCain and his supporters? The New Yorker Magazine is releasing the Cover. Why don't you start blaming the guilty. Call them and tell them how you feel.

I bet you wish you can blame President Bush as well...

JoeP,
I bet this New Yorker twist has you upset. The New Yorker is a LEFTY magazine. It has nothing to do with FOX.
Jack

I guess Obama had it coming because he flip flops to much and didn't say anything bad about rev. Wright until rev. Wright called Obama a politician which his is and proved over and over. When Imus said the thing about nappy headed h.., Obama wanted him fired but not rev. Wright...and why didn't Obama come out and say anything about the black guy saying we can't say "black hole" anymore...., that would have be the time for Obama to step in...but no he only comes out when a white person says something. By the way I didn't like ti what Imus said but these women looked bad if you compaired them to the other team....and not all the women were black....oeps I wrote Black which is probable not allowed anymore since "black sheep" isn't allowed anymore...I like to wear black clote=hes but how do we have to call the "white"?
I just lost it....Obama is causing such a racism toward white people by allowing black to preach hate in his church and when a white person says somehting ...OMG...By the way is Ophrah still alive? I thought she was going door to door to campaign for him, but it seems awful quiet....or did she lost her way...?
