People dont know what to make of this. Look at the FISA vote. He stood up for the Constitution and he knows the Dodd-Feingold language will live to win another day. You Obama supporters miss the point. The Left routinely opposes the efforts of our government to defend the integrity of our laws and the safety of our people. In the 60's and 70's people like William Ayres called policemen "pigs." Obama follows in that tradition. He has a revolutionary mindset. The revolutionary is one who believes that the exisiting order is beyond redemption and must be destroyed so that the enlightened vanguard can build anew on the ashes of the old order. Obama has been drinking from this poisoned well all his life and, not surprisingly, despite his best efforts the garbage flows from his lips as it did in San Francisco and in his speech to La Raza.

It's not that simple. You put all the blame on the small business owner who does not have the resources that large companies do. We present an I-9 to the new hire and they fill out the form. Usually a state ID or License and a Social Security Card are provided and both are very easy to fake and obtain. This should make it much more difficult to obtain a state ID license if you are not here legally. It is almost impossible to tell fakes from the real deal and running a background check will not help either. Why should business owners who hire illegal’s unknowingly be put in jail?

I do know that they can be faked, and I think that the federal government should provide an easier way to verify the authenticity of the documents that are presented. I also work in a construction related industry so I know that many companies knowingly hire workers with obviously faked documents, or no documents at all because they want and need cheap labor, and the laborers want work. This is illegal and should be treated as a crime.
