They just did a piece on Lou Dobbs Show about McCain talking to NAACP. Members pretty much ignored him but a couple said afterwards that although they wouldn't vote for him that they did give him kudos for attending and speaking. It was also noted Bush's record of not attending for 6 years. It was also noted that McCain took questions from the audience - something that Obama did not do!

The crowds were very dense as well. Not certain if all people sitting on our Fountain Square were on their lunch break, just happened to be walking though, or there to support him. Some of the people did mention that they do like his economic policy. Not a good turn out at all for him here.

One of the talking heads on MSNBC stated that McCain is not going after the black vote. He knows that's a lost cause. He is actually going after white female middle-aged voters who feel he is "white as a pillar" and will not do enough for African Americans. Interesting take.
