Tluv.......do you really think before writing this racist drivel? Or is this actually the best you have to offer?
It's called sarcasm. Judging by your low post count you are new to this forum so let me give you a hint (as if the "Equal Opportunity Offender" under my name didn't already)....I AM SARCASTIC!!!!!!!
i think your rant might be a tad bit more successful if there weren't blacks in and at every level of government except the presidency, which, again, is a position that only 43 other men have had. Ever.
There are black governors, mayors, congresspeople, councilmen, justices, etc. Etc. Etc. The "presidency" is the top political office of the executive branch, but let's be real about what transformative effects a black president will have for the, "yeah, he's black, but..." crowd.
do you honestly do this? *looks at post count and join date*
Sure why not? I would rather do that than be an a$$hole and call someone's sarcastic post racist or a rant. I wonder how many of the ones calling me out think Obama over reacted to the magazine cover?
No, see, I'm pretty sure I GET the sarcasm, and disagree with its premise.
Or maybe I don't. 'splain please.
I was being sarcastic about the entire thing. For some idiot to actually believe (or print for that matter) an article stirring up this type of nonsense is funny to me. Even funnier is that he got people that believe it to go on record as agreeing. My sarcastic remarks are what I first thought when I read this article and then decided to embellish on top of that. It's a ridiculous concept in general.
According to Bill Cosby many whites thought racism was no longer a problem simply because his show portrayed a well off Black family. Having people like Oprah does indicate progress for the simple fact that there wouldn't have been an Oprah in the 60's or 70's.
I think nowdays it's a matter of pointing out specific areas when it comes to racial barriers because it's hard to talk about racism in a general way since America doesn't have the blatant racism of the past.
