Yes he did. His intentions were to remove a lot of the ground troops in place of remote controlled equipment and such...a noble effort that didn't work out so well.....at this time in technology....It's coming fast though.

In the end, we're voting for a guy who will be responsible for keeping order-- Islamo-Fascist attacks creeping through our declining military (Clinton-style) isn't keeping us safe. Government has one job: Order. As we get close, I'd rather have the shaky hand with the experienced mind than the theorist with the quick hand to socialism...

Actually he (Obama) is pretty popular, and I'm over here in the GOP stronghold of Texas.

If you think Government's sole job is to keep order, then your beliefs fly in the face of the men who established the country you live in. Perhaps you could move to a police state if all you're concerned about is your personal safety.

Self sufficient free Iraq. When they ask us to leave saying they got it handled we will leave. As of the latest reply they want by the end of 2010....hopefully...but in the same sense they also understand ever changing conditions....Bush has always stood by that position. Would it have been very smart to start the Iraq war and say we will be done by 2006 in October no matter what the conditions are?

Tell that to the 500,000 (439 billion) civilian army that is being proposed by BO....sure doesn't seem free.....I wonder what the police, army, ATF, DEA, ATF, FBI, CIA....ect would think...
