Nice try. When I was living IN Germany, I couldn't get people to stop speaking English to me, even when I kept talking back in (fluent) German. They're required to take at least two foreign languages throughout (their version of) K-12 school.
Yes and they don't work more than 36 hours a week and probable got a gift to go there, otherwise why should they go to hear Obama and not understanding a word? Germans love soccer and don't need a gift or something else to go there...was it free beer, or what did they get from Obama?
Half of the German population or probable way more, can't speak or understand English and 90% of the American/English movies are not with subtitles but synchronized with German language. They also speak English, which is taught in schools, often to a respectable or high standard. Sorbian is a protected minority language. Some Danish is spoken in Schleswig-Holstein, and also Spanish.

I am constantly amused by the way people will swallow the GOPs twist on "elitism." Let's look at the facts.
McCain born into the family of an Admiral whose grandfather was an admiral who had his place at the best schools and the naval academy assurred at birth. Cindy McCain born into a family of tremendous wealth who had her place in the world and anything she ever wanted assured at birth.
Obama born to a working class mom who was deserted by his father shortly after his birth and who was raised primarily by his grandparents. Far from having his acceptence to Harvard assured at birth he had to gain acceptence there through his own hard work and ability. Michelle Obama born to working class parents who was raised in a working class home who certainly did not have her acceptence into the Ivy League assured but had to gain her acceptence there through her own hard work and abilities.
And yet, the spinmasters actually have a lot of non-thinking people convinced that it is the OBAMAS who are the country club elite and the MCCAINS who are the ordinary folks. Man, talk about drinking the kool aid!
You're misunderstanding what elitism is. Elitism is about believing that one group is naturally superior-- that you're somehow naturally better than the next person.
Elitism is part and parcel to arrogance. Socialism is part and parcel of elitism. Obama is arrogant and supports socialism. He is an elitist.
Again, position in life has nothing to do with a person's tendency to be or not to be an elitist. A poor person who claims they're inadequate to run their life and claims a need of help from someone they claim is superior is an elitist just as much as the person who is rich and supports laws forcing the poor to act in ways consistent with his/her beliefs.
Elitism is contrary to freedom because it says some people can't be free because they cant' take care of themselves. You see how elitism-- BO-- is anti-American?
It really is striking - the difference in this guy on his "binky" and off his "binky". These soaring platitudes and rhetoric play well on the tele, but it is clear these aren't actually his "words".

Just for the young once, the majority doesn't speak or understand one word of English!
On tv it is all Germand synchronized for the movies...maybe a few people have satelite but most people don't and can't understand it. Just go to any city and try to buy something or go to a restaurant and try in English...a few words maybe but to understand this speech is something else. But of course Obama thinks he torn the wall down and is bigger than Reagan.. His ego is going to explode.
Don't socialist want to give away the wealth and spread it around? How can one be an elitist if he thinks everyone should share in the wealth? Isn't that a socialist?
