Report: Obama Planning for White House Transition

John McCain’s campaign taunted Barack Obama Thursday following a report that the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has already starting planning for his White House transition.

“Before they’ve even crossed the 50-yard line, the Obama campaign is already dancing in the end zone with a new White House transition team,” McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said in a statement.

“The American people are more concerned with Barack Obama’s poor judgment and readiness to lead than his inaugural ball.”

I see Faux is keeping themselves fair and balanced.

Perhaps McCain should be planning for defeat, like in reserving a bed at the local nursing home. That's where a man of his advanced years belongs, certainly not in the oval office.

Hey Cindy! Did you go by the drug store and pickup my Viagra script?

I know you're old enough to remember Reagan's second term when it became obvious he was suffering from what later turned out to be Alzheimers. Now, in all seriousness, are you going to tell me you don't see many of the same symptoms Reagan exhibited in McCain?

I'm glad to see the troops are in their usual rare form tonight coming up with the usual name calling and cute senior jokes. I'm not sure if any of you have noticed but people are living well into their 80's and 90's these days. 71 is certainly not nursing home material unless one is exceedingly ill.

That said, I find no fault with Obama planning his transition to the White House, choosing his team, etc. A lot goes into this and I hope McCain is doing the same thing.

I'd hate for whoever is elected to have to suddenly start looking for a cabinet in mid to late November ........... and truthfully with the close elections we've been having recently, we may not have a winner until January! So they both better be ready to move right in.
