Shameful, indeed. And what's even more shameful is that McCain is now using the soldiers again as a prop, by putting them in the middle of an argument he's using to attempt to discredit Obama (without much success, I might add).

My guess is McSame's tactic will backfire on him big time.

so all the DNC really has to do is pull some stats together that show McCains poor rating amongst various veterans groups, summarize the bills he rejected/voted down, discuss the GI Bill he didnt support...and let the puzzle solve itself.

I wholeheartedly agree. The facts are that Obama did the right thing, and McCain, instead of taking the high road and congratulating Obama for doing said right thing, is trying to discredit Obama by using the wounded soldiers as props for his (McCain's) own political gain. It's sick and pathetic and it will surely backfire.

Yes! The GI Bill! PLEASE NOTE, McCain had written an amendment that didnt get into the bill. So he stayed out, sulking. The ONLY OTHER SENATOR WHO WASNT THERE TO VOTE ON THE NEW GI BILL WAS GUESS WHO?

Ted Kennedy, who was in the hospital with a brain tumor.

Sorry guys, this story has legs and is all over the media. Why do you think the obama campaign continues to put out press release after press release, clarifying their excuses.

You just can't escape the fact he could have gone, as a senator, alone if need be, to see the injured troops.

McCain has done it with no fanfare or 'announcement', others have done it as well. Obama just needed the adulation to make it worthwhile.

Barry screwed up and all the spin in the world won't rectify that.
