RealClearPolitics - Articles - Obamamania Not a Worldwide Phenomenon

My own unscientific poll -- conducted while traveling in May and June to six of the G-8 industrial nations (I missed Germany and Canada) and three other European countries -- suggests that while Obamania is deep in Western Europe, it is not as broad globally as is often thought here.
Nice article, Objective and Fair.

So why not visit without the campaign staff if he was so eager to see the wounded troops....

Didn't we address that already? Let's see.

Ah, yes. We did.

In another disgusting display of his huge ego, Socialist Barack Hussein Obama decided to cheerlead a large group of Germans rather than visit wounded US soldiers in military hospitals. SHAMEFUL!

An embarassed Obama spokesman claimed that the visit to a military hospital in Germany was scrapped after the Pentagon raised concerns about political activity on a military base. Earlier, though, the campaign had said Obama decided the visit might be seen as inappropriate politicking. However, the Pentagon said the senator was never told not to visit.

Obama aides had earlier indicated to an AP photograher that the hospital visit was a "go" but later said it was cancelled. The military said Obama was welcome to visit US soldiers in the hospitals but photograhy would not be allowed since it would violate the privacy of patients and be inappropriate.

Once Obama realized he could not, would not be photographed with the soldiers he decided to hold his cheerleading event in front of a largely German audience most of whom could not understand English. Selected Obama aides mixed in with the crowd and led cheers for the senator.

OBAMA's EGO is HUGE and growing daily!

Of course I read the articles. The point being that in the first that it is really just the optics that matter.

The second; Obamania and his one world message might play well in some countries, like germany, but in others, maybe not. They of course will be looking out for their own welfare.

Of course I wouldn't expect his rabid supporters to find fault in this empty, platitude-filled speech. Historically, he missed the mark with his soaring rhetoric, but possibly that is what he actual believes on how that wall came down. Which is scary if true.

You know, I can imagine what you would've been like had the internet been invented 50 years ago. Instead of boring us all to tears with your OMG BARRY HUSSEIN rhetoric, you would've been boring us all with your "Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation FOREVER!!!!" rhetoric.
To play into your false perception; I wouldn't of had to worry about it back then, would I?

[/b]Ah, yes. We did.

What he couldn't go behind the scenes? It had nothing to do with being misconstrued. He never wanted to go in the first place if he did he would have went on his own time....next.
