Obama knows this. He has said exactly what you're saying, many times. He met with Pakistan's leader, and Iraq's leader, and General Petraeus, and I dont remember who else during this recent trip. He knows, already.
I dont know where you get your "news" from but please read some unbiased, up to date sources and draw your conclusions from there.
Please, delu, don't keep us hanging, quit the carrot-and-stick, tell us where these supposedly "unbiased", up-to-date sources are. I want to know, if they don't.

You mean as opposed to the UNqualified CinC in the White House when they died?
These men & women should be honored because they answered the call and did the job they swore they would. Who ever is in the White House next or whether 1000 more troops die or NO MORE troops die DOES NOT change the sacrifice made by and the honor due those already lost.
The Surge has worked. Now, even Obama admits that it has worked. Iraq is relatively violence free. US and Iraqi troops control an estimated 85% of Iraq.
Our troops have performed admirably. Their bravery and professionalism is outstanding.
Barack Obama does not understand the military. He holds the military in contempt. One of his long tem goals is to decrease military spending so that he can pour billions of our tax dollars into feeding and clothing underdeveloped nations. He wants to make US citizens into World citizens.
Sounds familiar for a reason.
The Communists first proposed a "One-World" citizenship.

And this hot-linked, photo shopped picture, from an extremely biased web site, is supposed to tell us what?

This thread was started because the OP suggests that Obama may possibly be less than desirable as a future commander-in-chief. My post brings into question the lack of concern over the incompetent leadership currently in place that has botched the job for 5+ years. I can't help but notice the ironic "anxiety" over the troops' lives.
Hey, it's OK. Certain things just don't resonate with certain people, is all.

As Americans don't you think that these extremists are smart enough to time explosions and loss of life right around the same time as certain other events? We as Americans can not fathom the kind of evil we are dealing with. People that strap bombs to themselves to kill others and who wish nothing more than to kill as many people as they can. I understand this has been going on for years and here in America we are getting sick and tired of this effecting us. We want to forget all about it and sweep it under the table like it never happened. These extremisits are smart and calculating. They will not stop and they know American people will. They are planning this and know it's only a matter of time until America can not take anymore. In this case it's been 5 years. Now we are to give up on a sucure Iraq as though the lives of those brave troops meant nothing? We are to elect a president that in effect is saying their lives meant nothing? A president that does not have experience in the military during war time (in iraq or afghanistan) we are still going to be at war. It's not right.
Boy, you are ascared. I think it's you who can't fathom why people resent their country being occupied.
And your last sentence? Are you okay with a president who started this botched war not having real military experience? Plus, I hope you don't think McCain was a competent soldier? He trashed 5 airplanes and later attempted suicide in camp... not exactly quality there.
