Now McCain has brought on the Bush election team he has completed his Bush transformation. As expected the ads with false charges have moved to a new level.
FactCheck.org has checked & found them to be totally inaccurate.
I am continually shocked with McCain 180 degree change, I was strongly considering to vote for him a few months ago. But sadly he is no longer John McCain.
• FactCheck.org -- Charge about taxes in McCain's Celeb ad is false: The non-partisan FactCheck.org has analyzed Republican presidential candidate John McCain's latest TV ad and concludes it makes a false charge about Democrat Barack Obama and his position on one type of tax. The ad, which we posted here yesterday, is best known for making the case that Obama is primarily a celebrity, like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, and isn't ready to be president. The ad also states that Obama "says he'll raise taxes on electricity." FactCheck writes: "That's false. Obama says no such thing." It adds that:
McCain relies on a single quote from Obama who once -– and only once so far as we can find -– suggested taxing "dirty energy," including coal and natural gas. That was in response to a reporter's suggestion that a tax on wind power could fund education. Obama isn't proposing any new tax on electricity or "dirty energy" as part of his platform, and he never has.
