Turns out Alice Rocchio (Hess Corp. Office Manager) AND her husband, who works for Amtrak, each gave the maximum allowed $28,500.

The Rocchios' rent their home and the median family income for their zip code (Flushing, Queens) is $58,069. Interesting.

My friends, we must now stay in Iraq against the wishes of soon to be ex-President Maliki and his government to protect our national interests. This message brought to you by the Hess Corporation.

Obama said he would allow off shore drilling too. Is he the devil too?

It's not about what they say, it's about who is paying them to say it.

If you support offshore drilling, and your opponent doesn't, then what would you expect?

Frankly, I support offshore drilling, so this isn't upsetting to me at all.

Now, hold on a minute. These contributions were made "after" McCain chose to favor expanded oil drilling.

Suppose one candidate announced a plan to help the sex toy industry increase it's prospects and at the same time reduce sex toy imports from China. Wouldn't the American sex toy industy be compelled to make contributions to the candidate that says he will help them?

Now both candidates say they would allow more off shore drilling. McCain just said it first.

Are you suggesting that if Obama had come out for offshore drilling on 6-15, Big Oil would have drastically altered tradition and supported Obama and the Democrats instead?

That's laughable, Big Oil and the GOP are virtually one in the same.

Not necessarily.

I'm suggesting that an industry will contribute to the party that will help them.
I am also suggesting that Obama is now supporting Big Oil. Does that mean that Democrats shouldn't vote for him?

Yes, the idea that "Big Oil" and the GOP are the same IS laughable.
