If McCain or Obama wins but American loses, what is the point of voting for them?

Listen to why winning for the sake of winning doesn't do ANY of us any good.

Do you think the primary elections were irrelevant?

Exactly the point i have trying to make in my post. ALL we will get out of this election will be a new Bus driver! we are stuck on the same track, with no exit in site, we can go faster or slower but we will surely crash at the end without serious change in our way of thinking . All we are doing right now is making other country's richer by buying oil from them rather then using our own. We worry about polution here, but on the news this morning they talked of the increase in polution in china, I ask does that not affect the globel warming here and how do we in this country stop it????

We drill much more responsibly than other countries. Nancy Pelosi doesn't understand that the best way to save the planet is to expand domestic energy production.

Couldn't agree more! Apparently as long as we don't drill here than Global Warming is not an issue with Dems. So if China, Saudi Arabia, etc, etc. drill more to feed our needs then that pollution is OK, but if we drill for our own and actually create less pollution it's bad? Apparently any pollution we create is worse than A LOT of pollution other countries will make? I just can't wrap my brain around not allowing ourselves to drill for our own oil. Wake up congress!

If you want to expand domestic energy production, then you can build more nuclear power plants or follow the T-Bone Picking-your-pockets Plan and build more windmills if you want more energy.

If you want more fuel then act like a mature adult and wait 18 months until the E85 Standard kicks in.

We're getting off topic here, but I have to respond.

In the long run electric cars are the way to go. Sorry I'm not mature enough to wait for your European E85 standard. 18 months you say? Sounds great. You do know that cellulosic ethanol destroys the rain forests, increases water pollution from fertilizers and decreases farmland for growing crops don't you?

In the meantime we still need oil and we shouldn't be buying it from the Arabs.

Answer to post: You're damn right it matters who gets elected in November. Including a change for the better in Congress.

There's not really an advantage either way in my opinion, other than with McCain we'll at least have someone who knows what he's doing versus Obama who won't know what he's doing and will pretty much be pulling answers out of a hat for four years.

But knowing what your doing and getting the job done are the issues with both men. As stated in a prior post we need to go all the way down the line, do your job or you will be replaced.Action is what is needed not just talk.
