Arctic debate could result in armed conflict: analysis (http://www.nationalpost.com/news/story.html?id=340975 - broken link)
The United States should not underestimate Canadian passions on this issue," wrote Mr. Borgerson, a fellow at the influential Council on Foreign Relations.

Hmmm would Canada ship coal shale to us or partner with China on coal shale and Artic territorial rights? Which long term has the greater market potential for them?

All it takes for Hillary to be nominated is for 110 Super-delegates to defect. That's just 23% of Obama's Super-delegates.

That's more than just within the realm of possibility. A few more bone-headed gaffes by Obama and that's just might be what happens.

That would be so awesome. I feel like she's still got something up her sleeve.

Bill made a funny statement the other day, something to the effect of he has very strong feelings on the personal attacks against him from The One's groupies, but basically will keep his mouth shut until after the election. I'm really curious to hear what he has to say when he can finally let loose...

------------

I think she wants a "Roll call" just to show how close she got but its up to Obama/DNC and that looks unlikely .

I thought obama was rolling in money. Aren't they always bragging about how much they get in donations?

Another question - do you guys think she could hijack the DNC?

Thats my point he is rolling in money and is coordinating fund raising for the DNC thus if he doesn't get the nomination the money flow stops and that includes money for general congressional fund raising which many of the super delegates are.

I don't think there will be any hijacking, but there will be hijinks .. there are some very angry people who are going to be making a lot of noise in the convention hall, which is prolly why he is giving his I have Hope and Change acceptance speech in Mile High Stadium.

Well their are many left thinkers like Hutchins that support the Iraq war. It is most the new isolationist left that does not support the war. They want the money to be spent on tehmselves and could give two hoots for others really. But I agree looking at the last congressional elections that both the democtac and republican parties are moving how constantly to the middle. The democratic left and republican right are losing ground.Obama is just taking the route that Biul Clinton did to teh middle and learned a lesson from Gore and kerry;s left wing defeat. That doesn't mean tho that Obama isn't in the left wing of the democratic party same as clinton is ;he just knows he has to compromise to win a general election. Look at Obama annouced programs to redistribute the wealth thru governamnt ;that shows he is a left wing democrat bedies his voting record. Doesn't mean he thinks he can do this and knows he will be lucky to get thru one major program in two terms as with most presidents.I see nothing new about Obama really.
