The same ones who believe that old man McCain would actually be a good president.

Obama's followers can be compared to cult-religion followers. People who feel incomplete, alone, etc... they will believe that healing baloney and probably much more.

I only believe in one man that can truly heal others, and I can promise you that man is not Obama.

The only people who are claiming this are the right-wing. I know many people involved with the Obama campaign, and they are all quite aware of how fallible and, imperfect and screwy he is (it is just that they feel McCain is more so). In fact, a relative of mine has met him on more than one occasion (because she is on his campaign) and has given him more than one earful on exactly how he's disappointed her.

This whole "those who would rather vote for Obama over McCain are all cult followers' is the most asinine talking point of this whole damn election.

A little touchy aren't we? The truth hurts sometimes. I also didn't realize my previous sentence was a talking point. The cult followers statement has been an observation on my part throughout the past several months. Apparently there are many folk who would agree with me then, so I am not far off the mark. Thank you for validating my statement.

How am I validating your statement? Call you out on BS is somehow validating your statement?

Don't be coy, that whole 'Obama as cult leader/ leader of those who worship mindless celebrity' is a campaign tactic, and you know it. In fact, it is a very clever (but slimy) Rovian tactic, and one of the few that actually has a bit of staying power. The only people who are claiming that people believe such things about Obama are the right-wing, I don't see such outrageous claims of miracle working abilities coming from Obama's camp at all (a camp I'm familiar with whether I like it or not), it is nonsense being attributed to him in some sort of ridiculous attempt at a strawman argument against him.

It is similar to the Obama campaign painting McCain as nothing but an extension of Bush (which, while I do intend to vote for Obama, I don't buy that either).

Personally, I'm of the opinion that whoever ends up with the keys to the whitehouse has his work cut out for him, and will probably not make good on 90% of the promises made during this campaign.
