Hmmm. I don't see this letter on Carissa's own website. Your link states this "letter" is from her, why wouldn't it be on her website?

Besides, the point being McCain agreed to the date, any date. Obama would not commit to that date, or ANY date.

How should I know? Other than that it's whiny and never-ending and blaming everyone else for her own stupid screw-up, I cant imagine why she wouldnt post it.

Sorry, her email said, "I get told by McCain's people he won't come if Obama won't come (nice). I get NO dates from Obama's people and one date from McCain's people. I go with that date to the network and the venue and Obama."

So no, McCain didnt say ANY date. Dont lie. Obama's people looked at his calendar and saw that he couldnt commit to that date, so they didnt commit him and rightly so.

All this woman had was one date, and who knows how cemented in stone that even was as far as McCain was concerned? And PS, in February when this same woman tried to arrange a Meet the Candidates git-togither at Ft. Hood, the Obamas were the first and maybe the only to even respond to her - and they agreed to come.

Don't lie.

“I’m having extreme difficulty getting the Obama campaign to commit to this event, and we do not understand why,” said Ms. Picard, whose husband is deployed in Iraq. “We made it very clear to them that if they would commit to the event, we would work with them on dates.”
