He's married to her, why? I'm sure glad she's finally proud of her country, you?

The bible instructs, at 1 Peter 2:17, to fear God and honor the King.
The bible does NOT say that the King be a Christian. We should all be troubled by any insertion of Biblical principals into the election of our leader. The White House is a government residence, NOT a church - we are NOT calling a new pastor to our congregation.
Presidential elections are secular events. Respect for a diverse population requires they should remain as such.

This was a pander to the evangelicals. When the Christians of this country successfully remove the exclusionary right-wing politics from their faith this sort of thing wont be necessary anymore. But that hasn't happened yet.
Interesting article about Rick Warren possibly being able to help accomplish this at The New Republic from Aug. 14.

Great article and thanks for posting. Warren is helping to change the perceived face of Evangelicals.
