Aren't some of the GOP base against even birth control such as pill, condom's etc thus imagine they would be against any form of birth control.

I thought the thread was going to be about a pill libs take on Nov 5. Is there life after an Obama loss? Can one really be considered to have a life if just blindly following a leader's personality cult?

I think that's an insane thing to do.

Women ,girl's who now can not afford to travel as some dire poor in "bible belt" will not have a choice.

Your not pro choice or you wouldn't give the state the option.

If you actually subsribe to pro choice you would not give the handfull of Relegious extremist who control "bible" belt area's the power .

I am very much pro choice. I don't think we abort enough. abortion wouldn't be outlawed in any state. I don't like the federal government making one size fits all legal decisions. it is not the intent of the federal government.

If it went back to the states, it would most definitely be outlawed in certain states. South Dakota has already tried to do it on their own.

A woman in SD shouldn't have less rights than a woman in NY.

What if you could receive a tax credit for not having a baby and not having an abortion.

Sounds sexist and I'm sure it wouldn't go down....

Maybe one could figure up how much an abortion and unwanted birth would cost the average American and give them a tax credit for not having babies..but also not having abortions....

I think it would be called "being responsible" tax credit....

Which is why it will always get escalated to the supreme courts...

The states truly could do a better job at solving the problem then fed. gov.

Even better would be local counties or cities.

Who better to evaluate why it's happening the the people directly effected by it.

she wouldn't have any less rights. a woman in SD, would be able to do whatever she wanted, just not in SD. I can get a hooker in nevada, but not in NY. is that taking away a man's right to sex?

I'm sorry, but I really do think abortion would be outlawed in some of the Bible Belt states. And abortions are already quite difficult to obtain in many rural areas. Waiting periods are a specific example of restrictions that make it very difficult, even impossible, for some women to obtain abortions today. If Roe v Wade is overturned, there will be a rush of legislation making abortions more costly and less available. And the women who will be impacted the most are women who are poor and who live in rural areas.
