Democrats blew their chance with Obama
no offense, but Democrats really could have taken back the WH with such negativity surrounding Bush and the republican party.
however, they chose the wrong candidate IMO. Many people have said they are voting for Obama not on qualifications but because "he will bring change"......yeah...change of color maybe.
Hiliary could have taken the WH IMO.

If Hillary were the nominee, this liberal Democrat would have voted for McCain. He's a pretty decent Republican, anyway.
I can't stand Hillary.

I heard on CNN that something like 52% of Hillary voters aren't voting for Obama.
He can't win the WH with those numbers.

If you notice by these polls, Obama was actually doing better than Clinton in a head to head match up with McCain.

Well, fortunately for Obama the number is more around 10-15%, and Obama GAINS far more independents, moderates, undecideds, and swing voters than he loses Hillary voters, so who cares what they think? PUMAs can go jump in a lake.
He also puts states like Virginia, Colorado, and Iowa in play, whereas Hillary would have been destroyed. And also, Hitlery would have LOST Wisconsin, Oregon, to McCain. So the notion that Hillary is a stronger candidate than Obama is silly.

A lot of people were sucked in by his oratory skills. He's a fabulous speechmaker, no doubt about it. But I think people are beginning to see more and more that there's not a lot of substance behind the style.
That said, I never would have voted for Hillary. Not if my life depended on it.
This may be the first time I sit out an election, because I don't really care for anybody, not even in the third parties.

That number is obviously incorrect, you can't verify it...so why throw it out there?

Quoted right from CNN:
Nearly half of Democratic voters in Kentucky polled Tuesday said they would either vote for Republican Sen. John McCain or not vote at all in November if Obama is the Democratic nominee. Among 1,278 people polled, 33 percent said they would pick McCain over Obama, and 16 percent said they would not vote at all.
33+16=49%
I was off 3%

I am just saying that Hilary would have been a better candidate qualifications wise. I think Obama is slipping not because of his refusal to do negative ads but moreso that people are now seeing that Obama is not the great candidate he was at first
