I have never voted for a Republician before this year.
I am saying OBAMA stinks and I am not voting for him, so
keep your little guilt trips, they don't fly with me, keep your little check list, I am not a 4 year old. I am a grown woman that pays taxes, my own health care,I am self-employed for the last 20 years, I live in Atlanta, and pay Dekalb County and City of Atlanta taxes on the house that I own. I have followed this race, made my decision this past Feb, was a Hillary Clinton supporter, I have heard all the debates and will not support Obama because of his lack of integrity along with his very far left views.
I am not a little robot that runs around and votes with party lines, but clearly there are plenty of them around.
I am only one, of what I hear is around 4 million folks that feel the same way.
The more I find out about John McCain, the more I respect for him.
The more I found out about Obama, the sicker I get. He makes Al Gore and John Kerry look like dream guys.......... I voted for them both even though I could not stand either one of them. So keep your snarly high horse coments to your self, you do not know me.
My inquiry was an honest and curious one. Not meant to pass judgment but to understand where you are coming from. After reading and constantly hearing about these Hillary supporters who are voting for McCain, I wanted to hear from one of them directly about what they were hoping to accomplish. I guess I don't understand what you hope to accomplish other than to express your clear hatred of Obama. I just couldn’t understand how anyone who identifies as a true progressive liberal would vote against their agenda in favor of someone whose views and opinions are completely opposite. That’s like an abolitionist voting to remain in the confederacy in the 19th century or the civil rights advocate voting for Goldwater over Johnson in the 60s. But you appear not to be a true progressive, which is what I was getting at in asking about your past voting history. If you are not a true progressive then I can see how the issues I highlighted previously and how the progressive agenda for the country in general would be of less concern to you than the perceived “integrity” of the candidates--which is incredibly fleeting in my personal opinion. All of these people are flawed, have made bad choices in their lives, and are subject to political pandering and influence.
Anyway, thank you for your response. I was sincerely looking for answers and trying to understand the rationale behind your thinking in going from supporting a progressive liberal to supporting a right wing conservative. And now think I understand. You are not a true believer in progressive values. And it's not a matter of guilt. You are who and what you are. Personality and perceptions about character trumps policy for you. Apparently there are many others like you out there. And of course, race may be a factor for some as well.

oh brother, let me get a kleenex,
most of the supporters of Obama are all alike,
you think if someone has a different view, somehow they are flawed.
But as you said, you are who you are.
Despite this being my worst nightmare, I've said all along that it would be Hillbully and I still say that. Obama has no choice. Believe me I hate to say this. I sincerely hope I am wrong. I despise the fact that we have had two families (Bush and Clinton) in the white house for the better part of 25 + years. This is a very serious problem that Americans have to come to grips with. Put down your TV remotes and I-pods and wake up. I also don't doubt that Obama should he win with Hillbully as VP should watch his back and watch those who are suppose to watch his back. The Clintons will do anything for power. SIGH!!
I would lay down money, if I were a betting girl, that Obama picked Hillary for his VP
he can not win without her!
He is using a lot of her words now in his stump speech's
he promises to "fight for us"
Anybody here buy that?? LOL
He is trying to get her supporters, but a lot of us would not vote for him even with her on the ticket, I sure would not.
This will show that Hillary was right, he can not win on his own, he needs her.
This will be the great gnashing of Obama's minon's teeth, I can not wait it hear the groans..............
Sounds to me like you are a closet Republican who is finally coming out. I just don't see how it is possible how anyone who agrees with and stands for the same liberal agenda, principles and policy positions as Bill and Hilary Clinton would ever vote for a right wing conservative like McCain.
You are essentially saying that you support the overturn of Roe v. Rade, support the appointment of more justices like Thomas and Scalia, are in favor of keeping the U.S. in Iraq, support the continuation of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, don't believe in universal healthcare, and the list goes on. Or you are at least willing to advance such an agenda with your vote without regard for the consequences or implications on the country.
I am curious, did you ever vote for Ronald Reagan or for Bush I or Bush II?
I am so sick of hearing the same babble from Obama supporters. McCain is a right leaning moderate (Centerist) and Hillary and Bill are left leaning moderates (Centerists). Obama on the other hand is a Far-Left Socialist. Our country has never performed well when it was run by leaders that were extremely far Left (Carter) or far right (Bush). Centerists like Bill Clinton and Reagan will always be known as America's great leaders. So as a Hillary supporter I will vote McCain because I know he loves this country and will restore its economy and bring relief to the American people.

I agree with you that Obama is a Far-Left Socialist. The problem for Democrats this time is that if Barack doesn't pick Hillary...He loses.
And watch what you say about Bill Clinton -- the ONLY two term Democratic president since FDR...
Truman was a two term president.
