and if what you are saying is true: how sad is that? You are trying to tell us, all Democrats vote as a block, instead of based on their views and beliefs. Well, thank God I don't beleive this is the case...I know some black conservatives who happen to be Christian as well that did not vote for Obama. Voting for a person based on color, religion, or sexual orientation is showing how narrow minded a person can be.

Its not sad at all but brilliant. A group of people who don't have a lot in common can work together to insure that each one gets what they want individually . I would think that is the best definition of a community that works.

That's why the GOP is going to struggle for awhile. They have allowed Religion to work its way into their political ideology. Religion is unforgiving when it comes to compromise. Perhaps they can pawn off Religion on the Tea Party and try to get back to being the Party of Goldwater, Dole and GH Bush.

Blacks, Gay's, Women, Physically Challenged, Unions, Teachers, Hispanics, minimum wage workers, and many more voted Democrat because they knew if they stuck together they will each achieve their individual objectives. Not all at the same time but in due time.

There is nowhere in his/her comment where he/she said people should vote on someone based on color, religion, or Sexual orientation.

What they said was that people of different backgrounds(and different goals) vote in a coalition( better word than federation) for Democrats.
