So two individuals can have two different viewpoints and still be close friends?

My mother and father were polar opposites politically and married til death. Of course you can think there are better ways to do things, and still be friends. I mourn the loss of the joy of speaking about politics in public places, Now it is immediate contention.

How about Barack, is he allowed to have close friends who have different viewpoints? Or does his associations with others represent his ideals?

Sure. . . although having close friends who kill others, plan to kill the police, overthrow the gov't, get convicted of 16 felonies may raise the eyebrows of some.

If you'd vote for a guy that, say, hung out at Timothy McVeigh's house for president you must be very understanding!

I must be. I hope the company you keep has no skeletons in their closets or you shall be labeled as such. But you just stated that two people can have different viewpoints and still be friends, right?John McCain has a buddy named Charles Keating, every heard of him? Do you have proof that Obama and Ayers plotted to destroy America or is he guilty by association?
