Explain why McCains lead is growing during the Dems Convention?

We all know in the past that the candidates numbers rise and fall with his/her conventions.

McCain is rising in almost every poll and has taken the lead in some of the most important polls that Obama should be running away with during the convention.

Heck, even John Kerry has a huge lead during the 2004 convention as did Al Gore.

Explain to me why Obama is going down and McCain is quickly rising?

I really thought at this point, it would be a no contest situation. I thought the Democrats would have at least a 10 point lead. Given the current state of hysteria in America, it seems that half of us are okay with the way things are. The other half want change. It's still unclear if they all want the same kind of change.

Becuase Barrry has achieved little (relatively) in his life.

Community Organizer? This is what HE has said was his greatest achievement.

People are starting to realize this and the moderates/independents that got caught up in the hoopla are waking up.

Oh, the morning after! You shake your head in disbelief as you try to extract yourself from a strange bed where a clearly unnatractive person lays.

And run for the hills.

Because there is still a huge number of Americans who won't vote for a black man, even if he had all the experience in the world.

I think this is a HUGE part of it. Obama just isn't what a lot of folks thought (or hoped) he was. The party faithful will still back him, but it sure looks like the swing vote is heading Johnny Mac's way.

The pick of Biden as his VP aleinated a portion of his base who actually believed his message of "change". By picking a long time Wahsington, partisan insider like Biden to sure up his lack of experience, Obama signaled politics as usual whil preaching "change". Can't have it both ways Mr. Community Organizer.
