Today was a wonderful day for America & shows the world that we are a country that rejects racism\ignorance but rather embraces diversity & equality for all.

Obama will be our greatest president!

I don't. Heck, I may not vote for him myself.

I just think it's great that the young people and minorities have something to smile about besides thugs and drugs.

I think it's great as well. They have plenty to smile about, that; however, does not diminish the significance of this moment.

I was referring to the OPs statement: "Nothing that the racist among you can do about it either except cast your meaningless vote for pathetic mcCain in the losing effort."

It is not racism, I dont want a president who has done nothing for our country just because he is Black, big deal. I am so tired of white guilt. Nobody is holding back "the black man", if anything they are holding themselves back. If you knew half the stuff that socialist stands for you would get sick, I hope. Please read up on him before you vote for him; for our nations sake.

Regardless of one's party affiliation or political philosophy, the nomination of an African-American by a major party is a momentous event, and should make each of us reflect for a moment on the progress we have made as a nation, and take pride in being a citizen.
I could not agree more!!!

I am grateful to witness this moment in history, and only wish that it was someone who's ideas I could support.

Regardless of any disagreements I may have with Senator Obama, I must congratulate him on this moment in history - his moment in history.

Our country has taken a wonderful big step today IMHO -

Congratulations Senator Obama
