This is an INCREDIBLE moment in the history of this country, a country that has a very, very shameful past in its treatment of black people. This is a great day, a great milestone.

Nothing that the racist among you can do about it either except cast your meaningless vote for pathetic mcCain in the losing effort.

This is also the first time a fraud, an american-hating wife, and a plagarizing running mate have been nominated to run too. HISTORY i'll tell you.

Oh, please.

This is truly an inspiring moment in our country's history.

Regardless of one's party affiliation or political philosophy, the nomination of an African-American by a major party is a momentous event, and should make each of us reflect for a moment on the progress we have made as a nation, and take pride in being a citizen.

He ain't black. If he is then he is just as much white. Would you like to ask Obama Salami Hussien's mother what race he is?

And that racist pig grotesque American hating wife of his? Dont make me laugh.

Time for an OPRAH Moment. Does anyone even care what he stands for. I guess not, he is black so he must be a good President. Unbelievable

What he stands for is, for the moment, secondary to what he represents: an important step in the progress of African-Americans to achieving a full share of the American Dream.

The healthiest part of the whole situation, to me, is that we can go back to partisanship and attack mode as soon as the cheers and tears die down. But we'll NEVER go back to the time when a black man couldn't aspire to the highest office in the land.

That is huge, regardless of whom you support. And it is a wonderful event for America -- an event which sets us apart, again, from all other nations.

Yes it is historic and remarkable. But you should not assume those who do not support Obama feel that way due to racism.
