Yes listen to the speech, and remember he was IMPEACHED for lying. Some habits die hard.

Oh you've never committed a questionable sex act in your life? As if half the american population hasn't? Gimme a break, this holier-than-though crap, is crap. The world would be a better place if we were all as morally superior as you.

The answer would be No..I haven't...

The problem was not with the one act....it's with the many acts...the real issue was the repeated lying...over and over...

It presents a bad character

Amen to that!

Check this. I heard some pretty harsh words about the speech Bill Clinton was to give tonight, everything based on republican spin, and when I asked if they'll watch his speech.... mostly all said no. Others said they'll watch but would still have the same opinion. My first thought: "how sad". People will judge a man on other's thoughts instead of their own in the words of a man who made America great.

Not many of the opposition want to hear that with one signature of the name William Jefferson Clinton, it did something so extrodinary for all American citizens. One signature that didn't see democrat, nor republican, a signature that didn't judge low, middle or high class incomes. A signature not seeing religion, color or sex. The most important signature he signed was that of interest to the American people...... ALL of the American people, those voters, those underage, those raising children, caring for themselves, or their elderly parents.

No man, in power, in office, in any lifetime (except for President Lincoln) has ever signed his name to a peice of legislation that protects everyone living & breathing in America.

If you're a parent like me, you tuck your kids in, peak in their room making sure they're safe & sound.....

Even if to be the most hated of Presidents, all politics aside, no one can ever deny President Bill Clinton's signature to the Family & Medical Leave Act.

When I saw his signing to that, I said "it's history in the making" ..... never knowing that until last year I got sick and spent almost a month in the hospital away from my family, and after my recovery at home, I still had a job waiting for me when I was well enough to return.

So to those who hate on Bill Clinton, think of your own job and the wellness of your family before another shred of politics is spoken.

Quote:
The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (Pub.L. 103-3, enacted February 5, 1993) is a United States labor law allowing an employee to take unpaid leave due to a serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform his job or to care for a sick family member or to care for a new son or daughter (including by birth, adoption or foster care). The bill, authored by Chris Dodd,[1] was among the first signed into law by President Bill Clinton in his first term, fulfilling a campaign promise.
President Clinton was the best in this lifetime for seeing past the partylines, the political playbooks.... he saw families, and he saw a law to protect every family a year from now, or that of our great-grandchildren in America.

Do have to step off my soapbox just yet?

If nothing else, President Clinton really did give us something to believe in. A law that protects everyone.

I believe there already was a family and medical leave policy before Clinton was president.
