I think you know that people who bomb abortion clinics don't love Jesus or life. But if you will check on the recent history of "bombing nuts", many of them came from Idaho.
Pawlenty is a nice person, but it should have been Romney. If it is not Romney, McCain and the GOP made the worst mistake of this election. Pawlenty is too passive.
two reasons why I dont think it'll be Romney:
1). Romney on McCains ticket gives the Dems about 10 commercials worth of "look how McCains VP really feels!" ala Joe Biden
2). The whole Mormon thing
I actually DO think Romney would be a much stronger choice, but I dont think McCain will make it.

I understand that Paul is a bit out there for the standard rep, but they discarded Romney much too fast....and for that I blame the damn evangelical south who could not bare to see a mormon in the white house.
Cronyism damned the gop in 2000, and now the religous right has damned it in 2008.
I disagree with you slightly.....the only reason classic conservatives are becoming ind or libertarians is due to the influence of the religious right on the gop.
Not really. It's because the GOP stopped being the conservative party; less government and less spending. GW intentionally sunk the GOP so it wouldn't matter who the Dems or the Repbs put up there..it would be the same thing.
