What a truly extraordinary speech...inspiring, sincere, unwavering. When Obama walked out on the stage, I was moved to tears. That's never happened to me before, and I didn't expect it at all. I was just so moved by the happiness I felt, the pride I have in my country tonight, and the hope I have in this man. What a magnificent person he is, and what an exceptional President he will make. It is certainly a great night for Democrats, and a wonderful night to be an American.

Exactly. After watching Obama it would be nice to have a President who is not mentally retarded.

Default empty rhetoric to a new level

The dopes are eating it up, they really love this guy like some yokel suburban teenage girl in rapture with a tall dark and handsome sophisticated city boy. More deferred personal responsibility, more taxes and bigger bureaucracy on the way. Bush was not much better but things will get worse now as the government parasite grows stronger.

I'm predicting mass suicides should Obama lose the election. Some of you Obama supports are clearly putting a little too much into all this.

We will change under Obama. He wants to increase the social security tax on employees. (taking money directly out of their pocket)
He wants to increase income taxes

He will do this to those that he does not like.

This is not Americanlike to me.

I think that he had a very good speech. But I think his economic plan would be much better if he cut out the middle man and had all employers just send their employees' wages directly to Washington so Obama can divvy it out as he sees fit.
He spoke about individual responsibility but his policies require none of it.

Lo and behold, Bill Kristol of of Fox just said it was an impressive performance and he exceeded expectations. Just amazing.
