Am I the only one who finds it funny that its the Democrats and Females upset because McCain picked a female for VP?

Are there any Republicans wanting to hold back women and minorities like the Democrats here have been expressing? I havent seen one Republican here criticize the VP choice due to sex, but I think every single posting here from the Democrats involve the fact that she is a female. Very few criticizism postings here is due to her policies, all about her sex.

If your a Democrat, whats the issue with a female VP? It cant be because the Democrats just lost their blah blah blah accusations about Republicans discriminate against minorities, or can it?

I love how you republicans are TWISTING what we're actually upset about..

We're upset because he picked her ONLY to whoo the Independent females that were supporting Hillary.

What he fails to realize is that we were also voting on the issues..... and simply because he picks a woman as his VP isn't going to make us forget that a lot of us do not agree with his politics!!

WOW its amazing that some people are more concerned about a female being picked as VP than the terrible economic situation and the war in Iraq. No wonder this country is in a mess because we have people like you that keep putting idiots in the white house

Wrong.. she was on his short list of candidates for nearly six months.

The fact that he annoyed the Democrats to no end was just a bonus..

Right.. the terrible economic situation since the Democrats have taken over Congress..

p.s. your posting was my point.. The ONLY people here concerned about a female being picked are Democrats... Not one criticizsm based upon substance, just sex..

Oh please! I am going to take off my partisan hat here and ask this question- if Mccain wanted a female so badly why did he not go for Condi Rice? That would have given him an intelligent female who knows how to find Iran on a globe and knows Putin is NOT the President of Russia.
Why did he not pick Elizabeth Dole who had decades of experience as a Senator and working in the Executive branch and knows all the other Senators?

Maybe because it wasnt important to find only a "female" for vp..

Technically, had he picked Rice, it would have been yet another reason to connect Bush --> McCain..

Elizabeth Dole, wasnt even on the short list, you'd need to ask them why not, but from your list, it means you support his decision to ONLY have women on the short list? Again, an odd response..

"Democrats upset because Republicans picked a female"

Um, no not really, personally Olympia Snow or even Christie Todd Whitman would have been a wiser choice but it's all past tense now.

Actually I'm delighted that he chose this pawn, I think he just assured a Democratic victory in November.

See, here's where you don't think outside the left-wing talking points. She brings a lot to the table.

Her expertise on energy, oil, gas, infrastructure is excellent. Maria Bartorom on Meet the Press this morning details how very knowledgeable and conversant she is on the subject - she was EXTREMELY impressed with her credentials on the economy, energy and all those things a GOVERNOR of a state needs to be knowledgeable about. Since energy and oil and all that goes with it is extremely important - that is a plus on her side.

Her ability to excite and ignite the "base"/conservatives is a game changer, and she has done that already.

Her ability to butt-heads with her own party, to get things done, to stamp out corruption and actually REFORM (something obama TALKS about, bet has never done) government fits right in with McCain's maverick position and successes he has had in the past.

So, think about things a little bit you swallow the left-wing kook "theme"

SHE is the one we have been waiting for.
