Not all women are the same, but it is not common to have a baby 1 month after the woman just gave birth.

We have 2 kids, and this is what the doctor told us.
We're expecting our third next year, and have some kind of experience.

but

I'm assuming that songgirl hasn't had any kids.

She is most likely 3-4 months along. It doesn't take rocket science to see the most likely situation here.

Mono for 5 months preceding the birth of the baby? Come on.

I'll leave it at that.

You out of how many millions?
My wife has to wait 3-4months before she can have another child.

Not all women are alike.

I know this much- nursing is supposedly mother nature's own form of birth control and getting pregnant while engaging in nursing is rare.

I also know that generally mothers are told not to engage in sexual activity until six weeks after delivery.

And I gave birth and five weeks later had a period- I chose not to nurse, but that period five weeks later leads me to believe that I ovulated during the first 3-5 weeks of my newborn child's life. And if you ovulate, and engage in sexual activity you can get pregnant.

You should also know that a woman can have a period without ovulating.
