They should be clamoring for his endorsement.
Paul would never endorse Obama, between his stance on FISA, Health care, and the economy they are WAY too many differences...and big ones at that.

Well other than the war issue and desire to seek more aggressive diplomatic solutions, Ron Paul and Obama are pretty far apart. I recall Ron Paul giving praise to Dennis Kucinich for his dedication to anti-war positions and they are almost polar opposites.

One can certainly agree with specific issues that our opposition may hold without having to resort to pure partisan politics. In fact, I find it a sign of wisdom in many cases.

I don't think he is going to endorse either - he is too far apart on many issues to actually endorse McCain or Obama. I just thought that interview was interesting.

Oh, he doesn't need to worry. Many of us WILL be voting for Barr.

Of course if McCain dumped Palin and instead chose Paul, this election would certainly get interesting. (chuckling) Hey, if you are going to dream, might as well dream big.

If he had done this in the first place, we'd be watching the place go haywire...in a different way, since Paul actually has thought through his plans.

Oh, I agree the popularity for obama shocked the hell out of the dnc. And I see that as a good thing. I mean that I hope both parties stop taking their 'people' for granted, and start listening to their constituents as opposed to telling.

Now, a question for Paul supporters - would he accept a VP nod if McCain kept the same stances on his policies (Iraq war)? From what I know of Ron Paul, it seems like he would not.

His supporters are online as well so there should be a lot of conversation soon...
I imagine his supporters are just waiting.
Quite interesting indeed.

Paul is the only true conservative left standing in my opinion. The right wing, along with Fox news, did everything in their power to paint him as some sort of loon. I know it was a stretch for them to imagine upholding our Constitution and adhering conservative fiscal policies.

I believe he would if he were offered the position. The reason being is that Paul understands that there are greater things than just a man running for office. I believe he would see an opportunity to promote a more traditional brand of Taft conservatism that is sorely lacking in today's contemporary Republican Party. While he may not agree with McCain on various aspects of conservative philosophy, I believe he would put that aside for the greater good of the party.

One of Paul's strong suits is that he is quite visionary and sees strategy where others see tactics.
