Washington Times - PRUDEN: The humiliation of a young girl

Quote:
ST. PAUL — How mean, how low can a partisan stoop? Mean enough to humiliate a 17-year-old girl at the time she needs sympathy and understanding. Low enough to bruise the broken heart of a girl's mother and to mock a father's affection.

Within minutes after John McCain introduced Sarah Palin as his running mate, the blog sites on the sleaziest margins of the Democratic left went to work on the deconstruction of the lady of the far north - fair enough, if kept within the bounds of minimum dignity and modest decency.

Politics, after all, is a contact sport. The governor was too young, too inexperienced and, most unbearable of all, she was the woman who might be vice president and she wasn't Hillary.
And these are the types we want to run this country? We ALL know Obama was behind this and probably still is - it's just his style of Chicago politics.

Good to know that you're so tied into the Chicago political scene that you "know" Obama is behind this. Please.......

If you think that is bad look how the right wing American Spectator is treating her.

Brutal.

Source please or is this just more of your slander?

also, if the girl didn't want to be humiliated why didn't she just keep her legs closed?

Didn't Mccain's campaign bring this to light.....and if it's such a terrible thing, why subject this girl to this when he supposedly knew about this?

If anyone should be blamed it's her mother. It's not like going after a politicians family just started yesterday.

Let's stop laying all the blame on the girl and ask ourselves why her mother chose to thrust her into the global spotlight during this very personal and embarrassing crisis?

Isn't Sarah's character FAR more relevant than Bristol's??

Maybe I didn't have enough Wheaties this morning. Are you seriously trying to suggest that Barack Obama has his hand in or is somehow otherwise responsible for all those blogs that've written about this rigamoro in the last 24 hours? Really?

Wasn't it Mommy Dearest who put this all out on the table?
