yeah, I guess that right, in the 60s they made a comedy about a Nazi prisoner of War camp, and as it turned out, its still quite funny. (Hogans Heroes).

Sorry for getting off subject.

All kidding aside....I was talking with my cousin, remembering my mom, and noticing that at all family gatherings she would clam up, would not offer anything to the conversations...she just sat there with a smile on her face, and none of us turned to her and said, "Mom, what do you think". My cousin remembering her beloved MIL, turned to me and said, "yeah, it's like they become invisible".

Age has many advantages along with disadvantages...it depends on how you look at it....but my point is, all those old people at the Republican Convention, well, simply put, your going to be there someday to...

I think older people are wise, not all of them but a good majority of them are, and we could all stand to learn a lot by listening to them.

footnote: I am not plugging McCain either, it's just how I feel. I believe our older folks have become invisible, and society puts them aside and forgets their contributions they've made...if it were not for many of them, many of us would not be here...and I believe society owes the elderly a whole lot more then what they receive.

Just my 2 cents.

You are right about that. Most of the people that were at the DNC were probably single with no kids and no full time job. They had nothing else to do with their time.

So it couldn't possibly be there day off, or they might have been off work (after 5pm), or the fact that republican scare young people, because they still have more than 7 years to live, and will have to deal with the after mass? Its only jobless kids that show up at the conventions....hmmm I don't know why the news doesn't get right on that. If you had something on that one, you would see massive attacks from the right wing whack jobs.

Then again, they probably vote more that any other demographic too, so maybe they are the only ones that matter I guess.
Geez, what show were you watching? I saw adults there, the majority of whom are middle of the road as far as age. I'm sure it's kind of a stark contrast to The Obama's All-Out High School Musical, but it's time for the grown-ups to speak now.

CSPAN,

When you get ready to hear the "adults", your going to have to nuge at them out of their naps, but I warn you, they can get cranky.
