He might shape policy and give advice on where he thinks efforts should be focused, but ultimately the campaign makes the minute details. The Campaign determines how much money to spend, where it is to be spent, how much focus each issue should receive, how donations are handled and staffers paid, etc.
The same is true of McCain, and all political campaigns since (at least) Clinton in '92. Politics is Big Business now, it's not just about two candidates facing off in debates.
Like I said before, I disagree that campaigning for President makes one prepared to be President. Another Senator, I can't think of his name off the top of my head, said it best when he said (paraphrasing) "the Presidency is not a position that lends itself to on-the-job training."

True that he doesn't run the everyday operations, but being the CEO of a well run organizations should garner some respect for his leadership and management capabilites, choosing the right people for the right positions is one of the most important duties of a President.

Neither one of them are qualified for anything above what they already are.....just like Mccain and Biden. Not sure when the last time we actually had a "qualified candidate" was.

Why do you say she's no one for the international stage? Obama has no real foreign policy experience. A speech in Germany doesn't show that he can work with world leaders or represent our nations interest. In fact, being Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee on European Affairs, he seemed to disregard the opportunities it offered him. If anything, we can say that Obama is dismissive of foreign relations until it becomes a political football.
On the age issue, the median life expectancy is about 10 years (half of 72-year-olds today will be dead in 10 years).
Of course, if you want to keep with the stereotypes, 32% of black men will be incarcerated during their lifetimes. Barack (as far as we know) has never been incarcerated. Do you think Joe Biden is ready to take over as president if Barack Obama goes to prison, which can happen easily enough to black men, God forbid.
See how stupid that sounds?

Alaska is the largest of the 50 states, with a total area of 591,004 sq mi (1,530,699 sq km). Land takes up 570,833 sq mi (1,478,456 sq km) and inland water 20,171 sq mi (52,243 sq km). Alaska is more than twice the size of Texas, the next-largest state, and occupies 16% of the total US land area; the E-W extension is 2,261 mi (3,639 km); the maximum N-S extension is 1,420 mi (2,285 km).

Obama has no respect for the Constitution. He's been a hardcore anti-second amendment politician (not surprising given he's from IL).

As important as the VP candidate's experience is we are, in fact, voting for President. Obama has never led, chaired or commanded anything. Using Truman's line, "the buck NEVER stoped at Obama's desk". Let me pose a question: As a Senator (state or US), how would the "candidate of positive change" initiate meaningfull change. Maybe by introducing bills. And how many bills has Obama introduced in the State Senate? Zero. In the US Senate, again Zero. Experienced candidate of change...now THAT's the joke. BTW, I'm a lifelong Democrat and this will be my 1st Republican Presidential vote

Said campaign has not yet reached or achieved its objective, so what qualifies it as the most efficient? Money-raising?
It has committed its own share of hair-scratching gaffes, notably the ill-advised faux presidential logo.
What would you say if the campaign fails to capture the presidency in November? Can't wait!
Oh, and is Obama the chief executive officer of the campaign?
