I don't agree with this at all...I think the people who are complaining about it are saying that any one of those elements can be considered sexism. So what I am saying is they have to use the same brush too. If they are complaining about sexism when there is only 1 element present, they can't use that one element themselves.
An example: You can't call yourself fat and then get mad that someone else says the same thing.
Let's use a real example.
The RNC complains that the press asks how can she be VP when she has kids. Many on this forum are asking the same thing. This posed question hits the definition of sexism on all elements.
It is possible that I have missed it, but do YOU have an example of a RNC charge of sexism based on only ONE of those elements in the definition of sexism? If so, I don't think that it would be fair charge on the part of the RNC.

The key here is the saying the same thing. If I say I am fat. If you say I am fat, I should have no problem.
However, if you do not say the same thing and say I am stupid, a slob and have BO, then I do have the right to complain.
Likewise, if the RNC puts out a button that says she is "Hot", that does not give license to the press and the public that she and her girls are a bunch of ....ts". That is just wrong.

From what I see, the definition of sexism can be either or #1 or 2. With that, if an action fits either one of those parts of the definition then its sexism.

I understand that is your interpretation. If you look very carefully, what the button does, in my opinion, certainly does not fit within definition AND does not hit all the elements of definition 2. You have come to a different conclusion.
To simplify, would you men want to wear a pin that says "Obama is Hot?"
Well, as a woman I would feel weird wearing a pin that says "Hottest VP Coolest State."

Well, it looks like another stalemate again are you sure your not being blinded by her hotness?? LOL
I find it funny that some of the posters who cry sexism never responded. To me, that says a lot in itself.
