The Palin speech was fantastic. She is a strong woman! Through her speech, she was able to make Obama look weak and unimpressive.

My favorite line from her speech:

``When the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot,'' she asked, ``what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet?''

The styrofoam column really represents the core of the Obama campaign.....fake, weak, false. The Obama campaign seems to have been built on styrofoam columns......lets all watch it tumble.

Where in her speech did she talk about the middle class? Where in her speech did she talk about Afghanistan? Where in her speech did she talk about abstinence only education? Where in her speech did she talk about the rise in teen pregnancies?

The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance -- it is the illusion of knowledge.

Not unexpected, but it's exactly what I didn't like about it.

That's the speech she needed to deliver to the conventioneers, but it did nothing to make me feel more comfortable about HER. It was all about what Obama is lacking, but in the end, we don't know any more about her than we did before. Brilliant move for a couple of days, maybe, but I want to know who Sarah Palin is. I already know what the Republicans think of Barack Obama.

Guess no one told you.
The Obama speech was given on the anniversary of the "I have a Dream" speech by MLK. The columns were intended to depict the Lincoln Memorial
and the Washington feel where MLK gave his speech. You might have noticed all the greek columns in Washington. Knowing the intent of the columns and why they were used I thought Palin was very rude. She didn't come off as a lady. I don't think Hillary could be as mean spirited as Palin.

I think it was a good line - and a good speech - but I feel like she hasn't earned that arrogance. Maybe she will, but I think that's what bothered me about the speech.
