This entire election process has boiled down to appealing to the lowest common denominator... and both sides are guilty. Very little are actual policy statements being made, because they know that they'll be held accountable for their promises. Instead we're left with "Reality TV", and the RNC turned into Comedy Night last night. I kept waiting for Palin to say, "If you were once the Mayor of Wasila, and your teenage daughter is pregnant.... you might be a redneck."

We're left with two choices... and which do we fear least.

I really think both are not held accountable for much. The left or the right simply has no choice but these two. If there is a third middle-of-the road party, then things would be more interesting. It would reign in loud extreme views of both sides and that itself would be a good thing,
