A) It depends on the school but it's credits that do not transfer based on grade. It depends on the schools admittance standards that allow you to transfer....trust me on this one.
B) That many schools in HS or below would be understandable if you were a military child but in college, it's suspect

It's a topic worth looking into.

Yeah, and I thought another of their talking points has always been - equality for women . . . yet we are hearing all these comments about "who is going to take care of Palin's special needs child . . . " etc. Well, she is going to hire a nanny, I would suspect, just like thousands of other female execs all over this country have done.

Like I said . . . ask Nancy Pelosi how she took care of her kids. Ask Hillary who took care of Chelsea while she was at her Law Office.

It used to be . . . the person who managed to get his or her college education, despite some hardships along the way - was admired.

When did that change? Does my education not mean anything b/c I didn't graduate from an Ivy League college?

She doesn't scare me as a candidate. I think long term she's a huge liability. She does, however, scare me a lot as the very likely next president. I think McCain very well could win. McCain also has a high chance of dying- more so than any other candidate since Reagan in his second term. I could live with it if he had someone who, although I disagree with, I respect like Romeny or Ridge. I know she is by all accounts a global warming denier and a creationist. Her academic career is extremely underwhelming. I've never seen an in depth interview of her discussing policies. Her family appears to be extremely ordinary and it does not appear education was stressed. She may be the smartest most rational person on the planet, but there is absolutely nothing I'm aware of pointing to that. That is scary. Bush was an empty suit, and the results were disasterous. Like Palin, he was largely hidden from the scrutiny of interviews so people wouldn't realize how shallow he was despite his "likeability". Policies aside, there is something comforting about knowing that, regardless of how you feel about their policies, the president is very smart. I fear for our country.

We are doing exactly what the Republicans have been doing for years! We are simply using the tactics learned from them. A "second chance"??? What about all the good students that want a FIRST chance?

I know a retired Army bird colonel who served 34 yrs. He extended his last two yrs on the belief that a star was forthcoming. A friend who is a neighbor of his also was telling me that a star was imminent. I said, "no way" as he had risen thru the ranks OCS on up. Enlisted do not generally get to be a General. Only those from the Acadamy (Army,Navy,Airforce,Coast Guard) get the high ranks and senior command. McCain is a Annapolis graduate and could have made it up the ladder. His Gradfather and Father did. A medical injury during a combat would lesson future promotions. I salute JOHN McCain. Steve (WW11, Korea)

Why is this a topic worth looking into????

You feel someone has to make a certain grade point average in order to be Successful???

Someone contact Bill Gates!!!!!!! Damn, all this time, he thought he was a successful person, but since he didn't graduate from college, I guess we better alert Microsoft's stockholders!
