You guys are truly showing how desperate you are by coming up with one ridiculous thing after another trying to smear Palin. Won't work but it's entertaining.

How can you possibly say that is "off topic." That is entirely the crux of the issue here. ?????????????

You want to know more about Palin and her family? How about Obama and his family?

It's right here (http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/2008/09/01/palin-obama-comparison-chart/ - broken link).

She introduced him in her speech last night, and IIRC she said he owns a fishing business and also works in the oil business.

OMG, the defensiveness...I smell fear!

There has been plenty of time for people to research all the other candidates...this one is giving us just 60 days and not even answering questions, to boot. So do people have fast-and-hard questions regarding her? Of course. Are you kidding? She was thrown right at us. Half of you are just accepting the resume she's thrown at you and the other half of us are saying, "WHAT the...?" The other half, obviously, is primarily Dems...but not all. Will there be questions thrown at her in response, trying like heck to get any kind of handle at all on what her character could be given we know how little time there actually is to ascertain same? Obviously.

But the pub response is to be defensive. After all, you're willing to accept any old fairy tale that's thrown at you as long as it wears an elephant button. But a few people demand to know just a little bit more.

If you're 100% confident in this candidate (that even you yourselves just met), what's there to be afraid of? Answer the question. Or if you're so confident that you've "already won", as I keep seeing stated on this board, you don't even need to address the thread. Right? What all of this together says to me is that A) You know you're on a losing slide; B) You know you don't know jack about the very candidate you're trying to have total faith in and C) You sense deep down that this pick was a bad one and that the truth will out.

It is pretty sad when people stoop to smearing a candidate's relatives rather than addressing ISSUES.

I don't get it. I would hate to think I would get turned down for a job I was qualified for - just b/c someone on the selection committee didn't like that my husband had not "spoken up" enuff.
