The American Debate: It's little discussed, but Obama's race may be decider | Philadelphia Inquirer | 09/07/2008 (http://www.philly.com/inquirer/opinion/20080907_The_American_Debate__It_s_little_discusse d__but_Obama_s_race_may_be_decider.html - broken link)

This is probably one of the most pathetic and hypocritical articles I have EVER read. This man claims that white people are "so" racist against Obama that he has no shot at winning the presidency.

However, his one sided bias is going to bite him. How does he explain that 91% of Blacks voted for Obama in the Primaries against Hillary Clinton? He really cant explain that. Now, if you ask me, THAT, my friends, is pure racism on the part of African Americans.

But this idiot goes on to talk about Obama as if he is this helpless little victim. How much of the black vote is McCain getting? At last check, it was 6%. How much of the white vote is he getting? Approximately 65%. So 93% to 65%, which side is the racist one?

I have never laughed so hard in my life, because if Obama weren't black, he would have been laughed off the national stage and Hillary would be our nominee.

This man argues that Obama will loose because he is black, I say he is only where he is right now because he is black.

If Obama loses there will be chaos about people claiming were racist because we didn't elect Obama. People, it's not that he's black, we just don't like THIS black liberal in the white house because he wants to bring socialist ideas to washington and just like Rudy said, he votes "present" not yes or no..present is not good enough for the white house!! If Obama was greek, would I vote for him because I am too, and John McCain was going against him? Nope. I vote for who I feel is right, not just because they are white, black, yellow, green, orange - whatever.

I wont feel a twinge of sorrow if Obama looses.

Even if McCain recieved 93% of the white vote, I still wouldn't care. I just hope the African Americans rise up, so we can show them the hypocrisies of their ways. You cant demand equality when you wont even give it yourselves!

Whoever says this is an idiot.

If he losses it will because people will be informed to make a wise choice that this man is not qualified to be our President, nothing else.

Regardless, as long as Dumbo loses and if so it WON'T be because he's half black. It will be because half the population is smarter than the other half. Race isn't an issue except when Dumbo makes it one, truth is Dumbo is a socialist and we as a people want no parts of it.

This is why Palin was a good choice. It proved people didn't support Hillary because she was a female....they didn't support her because they disagreed with her politics. I can think of several great black Republicans who I would've supported in a presidential campaign....I just don't support Obama because I disagree with him. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with race or gender.

But let Obama lose....and it will be blamed as a race issue because this is easier to face than the fact that his politics are all screwed up.

I think the REAL issue for people is comparing 26 years of experience versus 26 months.

And, this guy apparently needs to wake up and realize that although McCain is getting 65% of the white vote in this election, Bush got 64% of it in 2000. Racism? Well, I dont think so.

But you will always have angry liberals who are trying to pin the failures of their candidates on issues that have nothing to do with anything.

I really believe this country needs something that jolts them past this racist crap once and for all, because we clearly are not past it. Although many white people have moved past it, I dont think African Americans have, or they wouldnt have voted for Obama in the primaries at a rate of 91%.

As you said, blacks haven't moved past it. Throw in a half black candidate it's like magnetism, they just can't help themselves no matter.
